SEASON III · CHAPTER 16
ARCHIVED TRANSCRIPT
I didn't notice
When it stopped hurting
The window's open wider now
Morning air across the floor
Nothing feels unfamiliar
The way it did before
I sit here with the silence
And it doesn't press against my chest
It just moves around me slowly
And lets me rest
I kept waiting
For the weight to return
But it never did
Maybe this is
A place that doesn't hurt anymore
Not because I forgot
Not because I closed the door
Just something in me
Stopped holding everything so tight
And for the first time
The quiet feels light
The chair is still beside me
The walls still hold the same light
But nothing here is asking me
To relive every night
My phone stays where I left it
Face down beside the bed
And I don't feel the distance
The way I did back then
No voice to follow
No shadow to outrun
Just breathing
And staying
Not perfect
Not empty
Just softer than before
And I don't need
To understand every piece I leave behind
I just let it fade
Without asking why
Maybe healing never sounded
Like a choir or a change
Maybe it was this quiet feeling
Of no longer needing to escape
Where the light can reach the corners
I used to avoid
And nothing disappears
Nothing suddenly becomes new
I'm just learning
How to stay here
Without losing myself to it too
The room is still here
So am I
But neither of us
Feels heavy now
