SEASON V · CHAPTER 25
ARCHIVED TRANSCRIPT
The streets are still awake
Neon flickers on the flooded road
Last night's fire still inside the smoke
The buildings shimmer silver and blue
Like the city remembers what we moved through
Every signal feels farther away
But the silence doesn't pull me under now
Afterglow on empty streets
Fading slowly underneath
Every shadow, every light
Still burning through the night
And I keep moving without knowing why
Like the city breathing somewhere inside me
Traffic lights dissolve across the rain
Cold reflections moving through the train windows
I used to disappear into nights like this
Now I just drift through them quietly awake
No more running from the silence
No more breaking just to feel alive
Every heartbeat underneath
The city hums, the wires glow
And something in me still won't let go
But it doesn't hurt the way it used to
It just moves through me like midnight rain
Maybe nothing really ends
Maybe every fire leaves a little light behind
Floating through the dark
Still alive beneath my feet
Every broken signal line
Every ghost I left behind
And all the nights I thought would swallow me whole
Now fade slowly into the neon glow
The city still remembers
